Former Karnataka Chief Minister and President of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Karnataka unit B S Yeddyurappa congratulated the party on its massive win in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.
"Victory in Gujarat and Himachal shows people have once again accepted PM Modi, his policies and Gujarat model. They've voted for development and against corrupt Congress. It'll have positive impact in Karnataka", Yeddyurappa tweeted.
Yeddyurappa is credited with leading the BJP to a historic win in Karnataka in the 2008 elections.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday appealed to the natives to support the formation of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government under the leadership of Yeddyurappa at a 'Parivarthan Rally'.
On a related note, Karnataka goes to polls on April next year.
