Yemen has criticized the decisions by American and British embassies to evacuate staff from the Arab nation.
The Embassy in Washington said that the decision to evacuate embassies serves the interests of the extremists and undermines the cooperation between Yemen and the international community in the fight against terrorism.
According to news24, appreciating the concern of foreign governments for their citizens, it insisted that the government has taken all precautions to ensure the security of foreign missions in Sanaa.
The State Department on Tuesday had ordered non-essential personnel at the US Embassy in Yemen to leave the country.
The department in a travel warning ordered the departure of non-emergency US government personnel 'due to the continued potential for terrorist attacks'.
It added that US citizens should leave immediately because of an 'extremely high' security threat level.
Britain's foreign office also said it has evacuated all staff from its embassy due to increased security concerns, the report added.
