Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, on Monday visited Mahatma Gandhi's memorial at Rajghat here after BJP-led National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) landslide victory in general elections.
Ramdev, who has been fighting against corruption, extended his support to Modi and toured the country to garner votes for the BJP, after the party accepted his proposal to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks, if voted to power.
Earlier, BJP senior leader, Arun Jaitley, compared Ramdev's struggle of creating awareness among voters against corruption with struggle of Mahatma Gandhi.
Ramdev expressed his confidence in the leadership of Modi.
"The expectations that Modi and I have aroused in people, during campaigning in the country, will be fulfilled by Modi. He has zeal, courage to take big decisions and has clarity in vision about society, finances, politics and traditions. He is not somebody who can be operated by remote control. That is why I am confident that he will do something big for the country," said Ramdev.
Ramdev had accused Congress-led United Progressive Alliance of hording black money in Swiss Banks.
