Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday commended Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the law and order situation in the state.
"Today, there is a great improvement in the law and order situation; earlier one was scared to come to Uttar Pradesh but today the public is feeling relief," Goyal said at an event here.
"Uttar Pradesh is not backward anymore, it has begun its race on the path of development. Investors will now find a different Uttar Pradesh than it was before," he added.
Goyal also commended the UP Chief Minister for breaking the superstition of coming to Noida that was borne by the previous chief ministers, "No one could dare come to Noida, Yogi ji broke that superstition, not once but twice."
The Railway Minister further talked about the projects taken up in the state, "A meter gauge line runs in Dudhwa and Katarniaghat, we will run it as a heritage."
He also said a coach factory will be set up in Jhansi, and that a similar factory could be set up in Fatehpur if the state government provided adequate land.
