Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and South Korean first lady Kim-Jung Sook on Tuesday inaugurated the Queen Huh Memorial at Queen Huh Park in Ayodhya.

A cultural programme by South Korean and Indian artistes was organised at the occasion.

Addressing the gathering at the inauguration, Adityanath claimed that Ayodhya can be called Korea's maternal home. He elucidated, "South Korea shares an emotional bond with Ayodhya as the princess of Ayodhya got married to the prince of South Korea about 2000 years ago. We are happy that Ayodhya in a way is Korea's maternal home and one is always welcome at their maternal home."

Later this evening, Kim Jung-Sook will be attending Deepotsav as the chief guest of the event. She will be lighting a handmade lamp on the occasion. The lamp is made by the Fine Arts department of Ram Manohar Lohiya Awadh University and has intricate designs on it which showcases Awadhi tradition and culture.

The grand celebrations of the Diwali festivities in Ayodhya is set to achieve a world record as three lakh diyas will be lit as a part of Deepotsav.
