A Yosemite climber, Brad Parker, fell to his death from Matthes Crest shortly after proposing to his girlfriend.
The 36-year-old climber's father revealed that it was the "happiest day of his life" before he went to climb one of the most difficult peaks to scale in Yosemite National Park alone and without ropes, Sky News reported.
Parker, who was from California and worked as a yoga instructor, had appeared on a cover of California Climber magazine in 2012 and had completed the Matthes Crest climb in the past as well.
Parker's father, Bill Parker, said that fatigue from the previous climb might have been a factor in the fall, which is the second climbing death in Yosemite this year.
