Veteran Pakistani batsman Younus Khan is recovering from a severe bout of influenza, which has been troubling him since last week.
The 38-year-old, who is being treated at a private hospital in Karachi, has been cleared of dengue symptoms after he undergone tests to clear suspicions of a viral attack.
Confirming the news, Younus's associate said that the right-hander had shown signs of improvement in last two days and that he was expected to recover fully ahead of the three-match Test series against the West Indies, starting from October 17 in Dubai.
Younus was recently declared as 'Man of the Match' for his brilliant 218-run knock in the fourth and the final Test against England last month,the Express Tribune reported.
However, he had struggled with the form prior to his double century, scoring 33 and 25 at Lord's, one and 28 at Old Trafford, and 31 and four at Edgbaston .
