American golfer Zach Johnson clinched the Open Championship, his second major title, after winning a three-man play-off on a thrilling final day at St Andrews.
Johnson, the 2007 Masters champion, triumphed at the Old Course by finishing a shot ahead of South African Louis Oosthuizen and three above Australian Marc Leishman over four extra holes, the BBC reported.
An additional four-hole play-off was required to decide the winner after all three finished at 15- under 273 on Monday.
Meanwhile, reigning Masters and US Open champion Jordan Spieth's hopes of securing a career Grand Slam were crushed after he finished on 14 under along with Jason Day of Australia.
