Zayn Malik's last minute cancellation of Summertime Ball performance at Wembley Stadium in London has drawn a lot of anger from his fans.
Fans were informed about the former 'One Direction' star's cancellation only 40 minutes before the close of the event, News.com.au reports.
The concertgoers revealed that the boos that the 23-year-old singer received following the announcement were "deafening," addeing that many ticketholders left even before Tinie Tempah took to the stage to close the show, News.com.au reports.
It was around the same time Malik took to the social media to apologise to his fans and explain that he is suffering from the "worst anxiety" of his career.
However, the 'Pillowtalk' hit-maker received support from his model girlfriend Gigi Hadid, who tweeted that she is proud of his "bravery" and that his honesty last night proved how "real" he is.
She further said, "We are all here to support you and make each experience easier. Your talent and good heart will never lead you wrong. Love you and so proud of you always."
Notably, it is not the first time Malik has been a no-show at the last minute. Earlier, he had cancelled an appearance on 'The Graham Norton Show' and an interview with BBC Radio One's Greg James.
