Restaurant discovery and online food ordering platform, Zomato, announced the rollout of its premium subscription program 'Zomato Gold' in Ahmedabad and Chandigarh.
The subscription gives members access to more than 200 top-rated restaurants in Ahmedabad and Chandigarh where they can enjoy the Gold benefits.
"Ahmedabad and Chandigarh are both known for their vibrant cultures, love for food, and unique flavours. While our restaurant discovery platform has become a way of life in these cities, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh have also proved to be the fastest growing Tier II cities for our food delivery business over the last few months. Zomato Gold is changing the face of dining out and is already the fastest growing subscription program in India. We're certain Zomato Gold will be well received in both these cities considering over 36000 people from both these cities pre-registered to join the program," said Zomato Chief Operating Officer, Gaurav Gupta.
Zomato Gold is currently available in Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, and Jaipur in India. In the international market, the program is available in UAE and Portugal.
However, the company will be launching the program in Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines in the near future.
"Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines have a heavy dining out culture and are all core markets for Zomato. We are looking to launch Zomato Gold in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, Jakarta in Indonesia, and Manila in the Philippines by end August, early September this year. We've already started setting up teams in these cities and the restaurant partners that we have introduced the product to so far are extremely excited about the program. We look to get to 100,000 subscribing members from within each of these countries by end of the year," added Gupta.
