With every passing day, Maruti’s exciting launches draw nearer and we discover something new. Dumping the names associated with their not so successful models like “SX4” off the S cross and now the renaming of Baleno as the YRA, Maruti is all set to redefine its image.
The YRA will be sold alongside the new Vitara Brezza out of their new premium NEXA dealerships. The car is expected to be launched in UK sometime in the summer of 2016 and the Indian launch will take place somewhere near this time. So here are three things that you need to know to make up your mind about the YRA.
The Exteriors
The car incorporates weight reduction techniques which will help it meet rigorous size and weight credentials of compact cars. The car will also feature DRLs, projector headlamps, floating roofline and rear LED taillamp cluster. Baleno might also be offered with an existing K-series and MultiJet/DDiS diesel engine.

The Interiors
The YRA will feature a stylish cabin, spacious interiors and new technologies. The car is expected to borrow features from the recently launched S-Cross like the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, etc.
The Grunt
Maruti is expected to bestow the Maruti YRA with the Suzuki developed 1.0-litre BOOSTER-JET direct injection turbocharged petrol engine. The powerplant is aimed to be powerful, as well as fuel efficient.
