FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile), the governing body for Formula One confirmed the official calendar for the 2015 Formula 1 World Championship season. The draft schedule was first discussed at the teams’ meeting with F1 massimo Bernie Ecclestone. In 2015, 20 races are scheduled which is one more than the ongoing 2014 season with the new addition of Mexican Grand Prix. The main changes next year are as follows :
The Japanese Grand Prix is scheduled on the September 27 with only 7 days break after the Singapore Grand Prix scheduled at the September 20, 2015.
With the addition of Mexican Grand Prix, dates are now swapped with United States Grand Prix and now race at the Circuit of The Americas is scheduled on October 25th, while the Mexican GP after a long wait of 23 years (last was in 1992) is scheduled on November 1st.
Sad news for Indian fans as the Indian Grand Prix is still out to the planned schedule.
