CarDekho has been constantly updating you about Fiat's plans for the Indian car market, which includes several new launches and dealership expansion. Moreover, the next Delhi Motor Show will witness a fleet of Fiat cars, which will make their way to the market by the end of 2014. At the event, Fiat will introduce its SUV brand Jeep, Linea facelift, Abarth Punto and a couple of more products.

Under Jeep badge, the Italian carmaker will launch two SUVs, Jeep Cherokee and Wrangler. The Cherokee is more of an upmarket Urban SUV, while the Wrangler will target the off-roading enthusiasts of the country. If reports are to be believed, a compact SUV allegedly named as Jeepster will also make its way to India by 2015-16. This SUV is slated to be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The Cherokee and Wrangler have already been spotted testing several times. Earlier it was speculated that Jeep brand will come by the festive season 2013, but seeing the Auto Show as the best platform to introduce new vehicles in front of large audience, the company changed its strategy and now it will officially be launched at the Expo.

The Italian carmaker will also introduce the performance oriented Abarth Punto in the country by the mid of 2014, and we strongly believe that it will make its debut at the 2014 Motor Show. It will share the Punto platform and will be rolled out of the Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra. This model is expected to be the first hot hatch in India to produce power in excess of 110bhp. It will be powered by the 1.4-litre T-Jet engine that also does duty to the Linea T-Jet.

We were the first to inform you about Fiat Punto Adventure, a crossover version of Punto hatch, to be introduced in the market. The vehicle will get a more rugged look, to offer an SUV like look. If reports to be believed, the Punto Adventure will have body cladding, larger size wheels, and rear wheel mounted on the boot. It is expected to be launched by the second half of 2014 and will be powered by the tried and tested 1.3-litre multi-jet engine producing 93bhp and 200Nm of torque.

A couple of months back, Fiat introduced the Linea Classic in the country. This price cut version has opened a new space for the Italian carmaker to launch the new Linea with more upmarket features. Linea facelift has already been spotted several times during its test rounds on Indian roads and will be unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Moreover, the company will also launch the updated Punto in the market.
