Ever since its first unveil at the Indonesia Motor Show, Honda BR-V has been on a roadshow showcasing all it's got to offer. This was Honda’s approach of giving the consumer a hands-on experience and feel of what the car is all about. Keeping in-line with the same approach Honda has showcased the BR-V Prototype in a new Misty Green Pearl colour scheme. The car was showcased at the Surabaya Automotive Exhibition 2015 and will probably make its debut in India at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo in February.
The new compact SUV is Honda’s offering for this segment and will probably be offered with options of six colour schemes – Misty Green Pearl, Taffeta White, Passion Red Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic. When launched, the car will rival the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Hyundai Creta.
Honda BR-V is a seven seater and shares many of its components with the Honda City and the recently launched Jazz hatchback. The car will come with both petrol as well as diesel engine options, which will include a 1.5 liter iVTEC petrol power-plant that will deliver 118 PS and 145 Nm torque and a 1.5 liter diesel mill that will put out 100 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. The powerplants will come mated to either a 6-speed MT or a 5-speed MT and an option for a CVT is also expected to be made available for the petrol variants.
