After their not-so-successful last stint with the importer Shreyans Group, the Italian luxury sports carmaker Maserati is set to officially re-enter the Indian market tomorrow.
The company will most likely launch its entire product portfolio in India, including the Ghibli, Quattroporte, GranTurismo and the GranCabrio. All of these will be brought in as CBUs in the country.
Maserati sold 23,500 Ghiblis last year that accounts for more than half of their annual sales tally. Internationally, the model is available with a 3.0 litre V6 petrol and diesel engine. It is also the first diesel-powered car in carmaker’s history.
Brand’s another luxury flagship saloon, the Quattroporte, with 9,700 units last year, stands second in the list. Quattroporte is available with a choice of 3.0-litre V6 and 3.8-litre V8 petrol engines, as well as a 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine. While the GranTurismo and GranCabrio models comes with either a 4.2-litre or a 4.7-litre V8 petrol engines.
The first dealership is expected to come up in Mumbai followed by other metro cities. The well-known automotive group- Galaxy might be their first partner in their re-entry.
