Last year Mercedes rained array of AMG products in the country, this year too, the German automaker has plans to introduce new models and facelifts. After launching the diesel C and CLA Class along with the B Class facelift, Mercedes Benz India is bringing the CLS facelift and the new E Class Cabriolet tomorrow. Both the vehicles will be imported as CBU (completely built units) in the country.
2015 CLS Facelift
The facelifted CLS Class features Mercs’ new diamond grille that’s also present on the A and CLA Class along with new sportier bumper and subtle changes to the rear profile. Moreover, it also gets MB’s Multibeam LED headlamps while regular LEDs will be standard. Under the hood, the current vehicle’s 2.1-litre diesel engine will be carry forwarded, which gives a healthy output of 204bhp and peak torque of 500Nm.
E Class Cabriolet

Mercedes is driving in the current-gen E Class’ cabriolet version in the country - E 400 Cabriolet. The car is equipped with a fully-electric soft-top that can be opened or retracted at speeds up to 40 km/h. The convertible will be powered by a 3-liter turbo V6 petrol engine. The 6-banger chucks out 333 hp at the engine speed 5,250 - 6,000 rpm and max torque of 480 Nm @ 1,200 - 4,000 rpm. The power is handled by a seven-speed dual clutch transmission that helps in 0-100 km/h dash in 5.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
