German luxury carmaker, BMW that had unveiled the updated 5-Series at this year's Geneva Motor Show, is now all set to launch the vehicle in India on 10th October. The 5-Series that is in its sixth generation has received some styling updates and additional features over the outgoing version.
The exterior styling changes that the 5-Series has gone through are additional contour lines for the surround of the BMW kidney grille, newly structured lower air intakes, front fog lamps with added chrome surrounds, extra crease on rear apron, revised rear lights and new alloys. And just like the global version, we expect the Indian version too to get Xenon headlights as standard on all variants, while Adaptive LED headlights might be made available as an option for the first time alongside LED fog lamps.
The car has received some changes inside the cabin as well like the control display of the standard-fitted iDrive OS now has chrome strip border, which has helped the car have more storage space. A revised rear section increases the boot capacity of the new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo by 60 litres to 500 litres. New exterior paint colours, light-alloy wheels, upholstery colours and interior trim elements for all the BMW 5 Series models enhance their appeal and increase the scope for individualisation.
This is all what we have for now, stay tuned to CarDekho for the detailed coverage of the launch. Cheers!
