Datsun has announced that it will unveil a new car in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 17. It will be the first of two models to go on sale in Indonesia in 2014. This new Datsun car was developed locally, backed-up by Nissan Motor Company's global technical experience and expertise to meed the needs of the new generation of aspirational customers in Indonesia. The company also said that the new-generation of Datsun models are modern, attractive, accessible and reliable.
Datsun also mentioned that the new model will be priced below 100 million Indonesian rupiah (approximately Rs. 5.90 lakh). The MPV segment is growing well in the Indonesian market, and Datsun also wants to capitalize on the same. A compact sedan based on Go might also be a surprise.
