For the seventh season of the GT Academy, Nissan has started taking online registrations for gamers from across India. The registration starts 2nd June 2015 with live events beginning from 5th June 2015. So if you are a gaming freak and a diehard fan of the Nissan PlayStation GT Academy, log on through your Sony Entertainment Network account on your PlayStation 3, play online the Gran Turismo 6 and score high.
Interested participants willing to compete in Live Events can pre-register from today itself. These events start from Delhi, and then Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai in the weeks to come. Online competitors get to drive the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO, which will make its real life debut post you’ve thrashed it around, through the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, holy grail of the Le Mans 24 hour endurance race. The game features identical recreation of the car and track for the in-game time trials. With just two weeks remaining to register your name in the GT Academy 2015 competition via GT6, it is advisable to work on those lap times and scores.
The final round of the online qualifying competition goes live on Tuesday, 2nd June and runs until 16th June, just after the real Le Mans race. Nissan will take the 10 fastest contestants each from live and online events to go head to head at the National Finals in June 2015. Six finalists will then move to the famed Silverstone Race Camp to compete in the GT Academy Asia, which also includes winners from Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Japan. The winner of the GT Academy Asia will bag an opportunity to race at the Dubai 24 hour challenge in January 2016.
