Proving right to all the rumours, Nissan India has now officially confirmed the launch of the Terrano. The vehicle will be launched at an event in Chennai tomorrow- October 9. The company had already unveiled the vehicle on August 20th, while the officially bookings were opened on 1st September. Except the pricing, we have almost all the information on the car, since we have already driven the vehicle. However, our close sources tell us that the vehicle might be launched at a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh.

Having both the petrol and diesel engine options, the Terrano will be launched in a total 7 variants, out of which 6 will be diesel and 1 will be petrol. Both the 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines are same doing duty to the Duster. And just like Duster, Terrano too will launch both the 85PS and 110PS versions of the 1.5-litre diesel engine.
Based on highly popular Renault Duster, Nissan has adopted a new design for Terrano to differentiate between the two. There are changes both at the front and rear. While front gets a revised bumper, new headlamps, honeycomb grille and a big Nissan badge, the rear has a split light arrangement, with half part of the lights given on the bootlid. The front infact reminds us of the X-Trail and other flagship SUVs offered by Nissan worldwide.
Since, we will be covering the live launch tomorrow, visit us again to get everything in detail including pricing. Cheers!
