Porsche has released a special series for the Boxster and 911 Carrera models as the Black Edition. Essentially a splattering of black paintjob and black interior package, adds more class and elegance to the sports car range. Boxster Black Edition is a mid-engine roadster propelled by 2.7-litre flat engine producing 265bhp of smooth power. The soft top roof and rollover protection bar are both in black and there is a wind deflector helping avoid undesirable turbulence when the roof is down. Other highlights include 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels and bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). With personal passenger comfort in mind, two-zone air conditioning and heated seats set new standards for the Boxster. Audio system in the Boxster Black Edition is the high-quality Sound Package Plus.
The 911 Carrera Black Edition has the same 3.4-litre flat engine pushing out 350bhp of maximum power and will be offered as coupe or convertible body-style with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive layout. This special edition rides on 20-inch 911 Turbo wheels and the LED headlights including the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) as standard fitment. The interior gets splashes of black to make it look sophisticated and sober. Both the seats are heated sports seats and the passengers immerse in the mesmerising sound output of a standard fit Bose Surround Sound System. Also, operating the 911 special edition is effortless due to the telephone module and Park Assist at front and rear, which includes a reversing camera.
The standard equipment on the 911 Carrera and Boxster Edition models includes Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation module, automatically dimming rear-view mirrors, rain sensor, cruise-control and Sport Design steering wheel.
