Porsche India is celebrating the launch of the new Cayman S in the country. The two-seater has been completely revamped: it is lower and longer, lighter and faster, more efficient and more powerful than ever. A longer wheelbase, wider track and larger wheels enhance the driving performance of the mid-engine sports car to an unparalleled level in its competitive class.
Commenting on the newly introduced Cayman S model in India, Anil Reddi, Director of Porsche India, said: "Ever since its international debut, the Cayman has been applauded for its excellent handling and performance. In fact, along with the Boxster, the model won the coveted 2013 World Performance Car award this March. It is built for driving through bends like few other sports cars and offers an outstanding sports car experience combined with the practicality of everyday driving.”
The Cayman S is available with a 3.4-litre flat-six cylinder engine developing 325 bhp, rear-wheel drive and seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission as an option. When equipped with PDK, it accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds (4.7 seconds with optional Sport Chrono package) and attains a top speed of 281 km/h.
