In what could be one of the smallest recalls, Porsche Cars North America has recalled two Cayenne models. The models affected are the 2015 Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne S vehicles manufactured November 26 to November 27, 2014 and due to a manufacturing error , the suspension alignment on the front and rear axles may not have been performed correctly and the screw connections of the camber, toe and caster may not have been tightened with the specified torque. The incorrect suspension alignment could reduce the vehicle handling and thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
The new generation Cayenne will is available in four versions in the United States: Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, and Cayenne S E-Hybrid, the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment. Introduced in 2002, the first generation sold over 276,000 units between 2002 and 2010 while approximately 303,000 units of the second generation, which was introduced in 2010, have been produced so far.
