German automaker Porsche has revealed the base and sporty model of Cayenne SUV ahead of Los Angeles Motor Show which will begin on November 19th. Company has worked upon several key upgrades on exteriors, interiors and under the hood. The Cayenne GTS is actually loaded with sporty design package that includes 20-inch alloy wheels, extended wheel arches, etc.
The front facia of the car now boasts of large air intakes, that adds extra muscle to it. Other acute changes outside are the ride height, which has been reduced by 20-24mm and sports exhaust system that makes a daunting presence. The suspension system has been strengthened with Porsche Active Suspension Management System while high performance brakes have been installed to bring SUV to halt within seconds. Apart from the sporty alterations, Bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights will come as standard.
Inside, the SUV will get sporty seats wrapped in mix of leather and Alcantara while the headrests are GTS branded. Other than this, multi-functional steering wheel with paddle shifters will come as standard equipment.

Both the model will sport the same 3.6 liter V6 twin-turbo engine but will return different power outputs. The base Cayenne produces detuned 298bhp power while the GTS model outpours massive 437bhp and 600Nm of peak torque, a significant improvement of 18bhp and 85Nm from the previous version. The engine is paired to new 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission system. The power tuning certainly affects the sprint time where base Cayenne shoots from naught to 100kmph in 7.7 seconds reaching top speed of 232kmph, the performance packed GTS does this job in 5.2 seconds of time attaining a top speed of 262kmph.
The new Cayenne is expected to go on sale in February 2015 in the US market.
