Range Rover Sport launched, festive season closes in

Range Rover Sport has been launched for Rs 1.09 crore onwards (ex-showroom Mumbai, pre-octroi) and Land Rover is confident about this product’s success. This is the first Range Rover Sport that is based on the Range Rover platform and has an aluminium body shell reducing its weight by 420kgs over its predecessor.

This will be available with 3.0-litre V6 diesel and 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine variants.

Nissan Evalia facelift launched at Rs 8.78 lakh

Nissan India has silently introduced a facelifted version of the Evalia MPV in the Indian car market. The company has also added a new top spec XV S variant to the lineup, and it is priced at Rs. 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new variant costs Rs. 30,000 more than the previous top end XV model. The Japanese automaker has also updated its official website, providing some valuable information about the updates given to the MPV.

 Honda Mobilio MPV previewed for Customer feedback

 

Honda, the Japanese automaker is trying everything to promote its all-new Mobilio MPV. Showcased at the 2013 Indonesia Motor Show, the Mobilio MPV has been put on display to get the customer feedback. The Brio based MPV will go for the production in early 2014 at the company's production facility in West Java, Indonesia. The vehicle will also make its way to the Indian car market by the next year, and the company might also showcase the MPV at the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo.

Maruti Suzuki India is gearing up for the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo, where the company aims to unveil several new cars and new engine technology. We earlier reported that Maruti will present the all-new SX4, which will replace the current generation SX4, at the Expo. Moreover, the company is likely to display a compact SUV and an all-new hatchback, which will come as the replacement for the A-Star and Estilo in India.

The team of the Land Rover Silk Trail 2013 celebrates the completion of the Expedition, which started in Germany and the United Kingdom.  The journey took them through various terrains, passing some of the world’s most challenging roads and passes across 12 countries covering 16,000 kms.  All-new Maruti SX4 launch by first quarter of 2014

  

Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest car manufacturer is aiming to launch an-all new mid-size sedan, which will replace the current generation SX4. The SX4 sedan has never been a top-selling sedan for the company, and it requires a makeover to create some enthusiasm among the car buyers. The new sedan (codenamed YL1) has been spotted testing quite a number of time in India, and our close sources suggest that the vehicle will be unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. A British team has today (14/10/13) set a new world record for driving from London to Cape Town, making the 10,000 mile journey in just 10 days, 3 hours and 16 minutes. Driving a British-made Land Rover Discovery, experienced endurance rally drivers Robert Belcher (58) and Stephen Cooper (53) broke the previous record, set in February 2013 by more than 10 hours.
