Renault India in order to refresh its Duster lineup has launched the New Generation Duster at Rs 8.30 lac (Delhi ex-showroom). The New Generation Duster now offers improved fuel efficiency and all-new safety & comfort features. While the exteriors gets cosmetic updates in the form of smoked headlamps, body colour door handles and rear view mirrors, its the interiors that gets majority of updates.
On the comfort aspect, the compact SUV now offers

- New steering column, instrument cluster and new fabric upholstery
- Multi-information display panel which offers service reminder, real-time fuel efficiency display, distance to empty warning, and average speed
- Medianav with steering-mounted audio and phone controls
- Driver armrest

- One touch turn indicator (lane change)
- Ambient temperature display
- Gear shift indicator
- Segment first ECO mode
- Cruise control & speed limiter,
The New Generation Duster also flaunts an evolved electrical and electronics architecture and a new “CMO10” engine compartment which according to the company offers better driving experience. As said above, the fuel efficiency is improved as diesel 110 PS model delivers a mileage of 19.65 kmpl while the 85 PS model gives an average of 19.87 kmpl. Moreover, the petrol model has a fuel efficiency of 13.24 kmpl.
On the safety front, the New Generation Duster boasts
- ABS with EBD and brake assist
- Dual front airbags
- Impact sensing auto door unlock
- Rapid deceleration warning
- Rear defogger and a rear wiper and washer with timer
- speed sensitive door lock for better safety
