Recently, the official images of the 2016 Toyota Innova were leaked online. The pictures made their way onto the world wide web, when snapshots of Innova’s brochure were uploaded online by Autonetmagz.net. Now, for the first time, the car has been spotted making its rounds, out on the streets during a road-test. The car is completely undisguised and feature no camouflage. The all-new Innova is expected to be launched on November 23rd and will be based on the all-new ladder frame platform, which also finds its application in the 2016 Toyota Hilux Revo and the 2016 Toyota Fortuner. Aesthetically, the car gets a completely redesigned body, which bears minimalistic resemblance to the previous generation Toyota Innova. Most prominently, one can’t help but notice the large hexagonal air-dam, which features a dual-slat chrome grille.
The car will also flaunt LED projectors headlamps with daytime running LEDs integrated into the grille and the indicators will be integrated into the foglamps. The interiors will feature updated luxury equipment, which includes cabin ambient lighting, larger touchscreen infotainment system, all auto-down power windows amongst others. Under the hood, the all-new Innova is expected to feature a new 2.4-liter turbo-intercooled direct-injection diesel, which is capable of producing 149 PS at 3,400 rpm and 342 Nm of torque. The car will come with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission option. The automatic transmission option will also come with an increased torque output of 360 Nm.
