Upcoming Cars In February

In the month of January, Indian auto industry witnessed quite a few important launches in the form of Tata Bolt, Datsun Go+, Mercedes Benz CLA Class and Toyota Fortuner 4x4 AT. Apart from this, country’s ace carmaker Maruti Suzuki added a limited edition variant along with Z+ trims in its mid size sedan Ciaz. Home grown manufacturer Mahindra too introduced S4+ and S4+4WD in Scorpio while Honda upgraded Brio and Amaze models with Audio Video Navigation. Now as the month of January has passed, automakers are now looking to introduce more vehicles in February. Lets have a look on the upcoming cars in February.

Mercedes Benz C 220 CDI

Launch Date: 11th Feb

After launching the petrol model of new C-Class, the German luxury carmaker is now planning to launch the diesel variant C 220 CDI. The saloon offers 8.4-inch touch-screen with MB’s COMAND infotainment system with a new touch pad, along with the regular scroller. Powering the 2015 Mercedes Benz C Class diesel is previous C’s 2.1-liter diesel engine mated with 7G-Tronic Plus gearbox. The car lock horns with Audi A4, BMW 3 series and Volvo S60 in its class.

Hyundai Verna

Launch Date-16/17 Feb

Hyundai in order to refresh its midsize sedan Verna, will bring the facelift version on either 16 or on 17th of February. The new Verna is coming with projector headlamps, which are also present in the current-gen model but with the addition of daytime running LEDs placed beside the fog lamps. The saloon will also come equipped with LED taillamps, refreshed bumper and twin-rear fog lamps. A new touch-screen infotainment unit is also expected in this updated version.

Volkswagen Jetta

Launch Date: 17th Feb

Volkswagen after introducing the facelifted Polo and Vento, has now turned its head towards the D segment Saloon Jetta. The automaker will launch the updated Jetta on 17th Feb which made its debut just ahead of the 2014 New York Auto Show. The updated model now embraces new upholstery, piano black trim, 3-spoke flat bottom steering wheel, updated centre console as well as touchscreen infotainment system. Mechanically the car is expected to remain unchanged.

BMW i8

Launch Date : 18th Feb

BMW, the German luxury carmaker will launch country’s first plug-in hybrid supercar on Feb 18th. Since BMW i8 is a hybrid car, it gets power from petrol engine coupled to an electric motor. The engine is turbocharged 1.5-litre twin-power turbo which is combined with intelligent energy management system. The petrol engine is able to put maximum power output of 231bhp and 320Nm of torque, which is clubbed with an electric motor producing 131bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. With this the total power output reaches to 362bhp and 570Nm of torque.
