Adani Power spurted 5.83% to Rs 38.10 and topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The stock rose on volume of 72.87 lakh shares, sharply higher than average daily volume of 13.05 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Dish TV India gained 4.32% to Rs 60.40 and was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock rose on volume of 27.30 lakh shares, sharply higher than average daily volume of 4.79 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Jaiprakash Power Ventures advanced 2.6% to Rs 19.75 and was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock rose on volume of 18.02 lakh shares, higher than average daily volume of 8.36 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Bharti Infratel gained 2.54% to Rs 163.40 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Tata Power Company rose 2.44% to Rs 82 and was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock rose on volume of 9.94 lakh shares, higher than average daily volume of 3.50 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
