Amara Raja Batteries net profit rises 2.25% in the March 2013 quarter

Sales rise 19.45% to Rs 801.06 crore

Net profit of Amara Raja Batteries rose 2.25% to Rs 59.60 crore in the quarter ended March 2013 as against Rs 58.29 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2012. Sales rose 19.45% to Rs 801.06 crore in the quarter ended March 2013 as against Rs 670.64 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2012.

For the Audited full year,net profit rose 33.31% to Rs 286.70 crore in the year ended March 2013 as against Rs 215.06 crore during the previous year ended March 2012. Sales rose 25.09% to Rs 2961.39 crore in the year ended March 2013 as against Rs 2367.36 crore during the previous year ended March 2012.
