Ashok Leyland net profit declines 42.02% in the March 2013 quarter

Sales decline 14.24% to Rs 3648.41 crore

Net profit of Ashok Leyland declined 42.02% to Rs 150.03 crore in the quarter ended March 2013 as against Rs 258.74 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2012. Sales declined 14.24% to Rs 3648.41 crore in the quarter ended March 2013 as against Rs 4254.33 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2012.

For the Audited full year,net profit declined 23.37% to Rs 433.71 crore in the year ended March 2013 as against Rs 565.98 crore during the previous year ended March 2012. Sales declined 3.94% to Rs 12203.08 crore in the year ended March 2013 as against Rs 12703.46 crore during the previous year ended March 2012.
