Astral Poly Technik gains after Q2 earnings

Astral Poly Technik rose 0.77% to Rs 1,141.75 after consolidated net profit surged 84.5% to Rs 82.10 crore on 8.5% increase in net sales to Rs 678.30 crore in Q2 September 2019 over Q2 September 2018.

The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 24 October 2019.

Consolidated EBITDA jumped 24.16% to Rs 121.80 crore during Q2 September 2019 as against Rs 98.10 crore in Q2 September 2018. EBITDA margin also showed an improvement to 17.96% in Q2 September 2019 compared with 15.69% in Q2 September 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 40 points or 0.10% to 38,980.52.

On the BSE, 4,555 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 3,901 shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 1,179.85 and an intraday low of Rs 1,139 so far during the day.

The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,265.20 on 20 September 2019. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 682 on 24 October 2018.

Astral Poly Technik and its subsidiaries are engaged in the business of manufacturing and trading of pipes, fittings and adhesive solutions. Its product range includes pipe category for plumbing, industrial, drainage, fire protection, agriculture, electrical conduit and ancillary, and adhesive category for construction, maintenance, wood care and automotive.
