Astral Poly Technik slides after shutting down Baddi plant

Astral Poly Technik was off 1.4% at Rs 376 at 9:50 IST on BSE after the company announced that it has closed down operations at its manufacturing unit at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh because it has become commercially unviable to run the plant.

The company made the announcement after trading hours yesterday, 18 June 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was currently up 159.66 points or 0.59% at 27,275.49

Shares of Astral Poly Technik hit high of Rs 380 and low of Rs 369.20 so far during the trading session. The stock hit 52-week high of Rs 534.05 on 13 April 2015 which is also a record high for the counter. The stock hit 52-week low of Rs 305 on 16 July 2014.

On BSE, so far 1,299 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 31,097 shares in the past one quarter.

Astral Poly Technik's net profit fell 40.3% to Rs 16.58 crore on 11.3% growth in net sales to Rs 375.16 crore in Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014.
