Australian share market finished the session higher on Thursday, 04 August 2016, on the back of strength in energy stocks. Meanwhile, buying pressure was also evident among realty, consumer staples and consumer discretionary stocks after ABS data revealed retail spending growth is at its slowest pace in three years. At close of trade, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index rose 10.10 points, or 0.18%, to 5475.80. The broader All Ordinaries inclined 12 points, or 0.22%, to 5563.40.
