Aussie market snaps four-day losing streak

Headline indices of the Australian market closed higher for the first time in five consecutive sessions on Tuesday, 09 September 2014, with shares of the mining and financial sectors being major gainer. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 Index advanced 30.90 points to 5607.90 and the broader All Ordinaries Index gained 29.30 points to 5608.20. Market volume turnover was light, just 1.95 billion shares traded worth of A$3.45 billion, due to holidays in the region and a busy tail-end of the week.
