Bajaj Auto rose 1.27% to Rs 1,883.15 at 9:18 IST on BSE after the company said it has received a notice from Chakan workmen's union that all the workmen at Chakan Plant will resume their duty in their respective shifts from today, 14 August 2013.
The announcement was made after market hours on Tuesday, 13 August 2013.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 13.53 points or 0.07% at 19,243.37.
On BSE, 1,090 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 30,055 shares in the past two weeks.
The stock hit a high of Rs 1,888.95 and a low of Rs 1,865 so far during the day.
Bajaj Auto said it has, on Tuesday, 13 August 2013, received a notice from the said workmen's union, Vishwa Kalyan Kamgar Sanghatana stating that the earlier stoppage has been withdrawn and all the workmen at Chakan Plant will resume their duty in their respective shifts from today, 14 August 2013.
