Balrampur Chini Mills gains after reporting strong Q4 results

Balrampur Chini Mills rose 2.44% to Rs 113.20 at 9:25 IST on BSE after the company's net profit rose 30.28% to Rs 98.78 crore on 17.08% rise in total income to Rs 777.19 crore in Q4 March 2016 over Q4 March 2015.

The announcement was made after market hours on Friday, 20 May 2016.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 129.41 points, or 0.51%, to 25,431.31.

On BSE, 50,230 shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 5.41 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 114 and a low of Rs 112 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 119.75 on 16 May 2016. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 33.45 on 3 June 2015.

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 24.49 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

Balrampur Chini Mills is one of the largest integrated sugar manufacturing companies in India.
