Bharti Infratel jumped 3.93% to Rs 165.25 at 11:42 IST on BSE after a block deal of 7.96 lakh shares, or 0.04% equity, was executed in the counter on BSE at Rs 165 per share at 10:40 IST.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 519.66 points, or 2.60%, to 20,481.82.
On BSE, 8.54 lakh shares were traded in the counter compared with average volume of 42,285 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 170 and a low of Rs 160.25 so far during the day. The stock hit a record low of Rs 126.05 on 28 August 2013. The stock hit a record high of Rs 215.50 on 29 January 2013.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 18 September 2013, rising 6.96% compared with the Sensex's 7.33% rise. The scrip had, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 5.33% as against Sensex's 3.84% rise.
The large-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 1888.85 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
