Net purchases of Rs 220.21 crore 10 June 2016

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) continue to remain buyers of Indian stocks. FPIs stocks worth a net Rs 220.21 crore on Friday, 10 June 2016, compared with their purchases of Rs 266.19 crore during the preceding trading session on 9 June 2016. The net inflow of Rs 220.21 crore into the secondary equity markets on 10 June 2016 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3523.58 crore and gross sales of Rs 3303.37 crore. On that day, the S&P BSE Sensex shed 127.71 points or 0.48% to settle at 26,635.75, its lowest closing level since 26 May 2016.

There was an outflow of Rs 1.11 crore from FPIs from the category 'primary markets & others' on 10 June 2016.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 4214.22 crore from the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 10 June 2016). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 2000 crore from the secondary equity markets last month. FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 19031.50 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016 so far (till 10 June 2016). FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 4362.50 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015.

There has been a net outflow of Rs 4.94 crore from FPIs from the category 'primary markets & others' in this month so far (till 10 June 2016). There was net inflow of Rs 542.89 crore from FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' last month. The net inflow from FPIs into category 'primary markets & others' has totaled Rs 631.70 crore in calendar year 2016 so far (till 10 June 2016). There was net inflow of Rs 22168.40 crore from FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' in calendar year 2015.
