Carborundum Universal net profit rises 28.89% in the March 2014 quarter

Sales rise 7.87% to Rs 292.79 crore

Net profit of Carborundum Universal rose 28.89% to Rs 21.68 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 16.82 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales rose 7.87% to Rs 292.79 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 271.42 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net profit declined 2.36% to Rs 72.78 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 74.54 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales rose 4.41% to Rs 1127.64 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 1080.02 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
