Chambal Fertilisers gains after commencing urea production

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals advanced 3.6% to Rs 153.85 at 15:09 IST on BSE after the company said production of urea on trial basis has commenced from a plant in Kota, Rajasthan.

The announcement was made during market hours today, 30 November 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 54.18 points or 0.15% at 36,224.59

On the BSE, 48,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 44,000 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 154.90 and a low of Rs 149.05 so far during the day.

Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals said production of urea on trial basis has commenced from Gadepan-III Plant in Kota, Rajasthan on 30 November 2018.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals reported 2.65% rise in net profit to Rs 145 crore on 18.69% rise in total income to Rs 2564.14 crore in Q2 September 2018 over Q2 September 2017.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals is one of the largest private sector fertilizer producers in India.
