China Shanghai Composite softens 0.3%
Capital Market The Mainland China equity market ended softer on Thursday, 14 December 2017,after the People's Bank of Chinanudged up money market rate following the widely expected US rate hike, and as mixed data reinforced signs of a modest slowdown in the Asian economic powerhouse. The Shanghai Composite Index ended down 0.3% at 3,292.44. The CSI 300 Index - which tracks the large caps listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen - dropped 0.6% to 4,026.15.The Shenzhen Composite Index closed practically unchanged at 1,915. The Nasdaq-style ChiNext finished 0.7% lower at 1,794.34.
