Corporation Bank transfers unclaimed dividend to Government's IEPF account

Corporation Bank announced that the Bank has transferred an amount of Rs 76,99,931 (Rupees seventy six lakh ninety nine thousand nine hundred thirty one only) in respect of 13 unclaimed Dividend accounts upto financial year 2005-06 to, IEPF Account maintained by Govt. of India, on 31 March 2014, as per the Gazette Notification dated March 27, 2014, vide Section 10B of Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980, read with Section 205C of the Companies Act, 1956 and Investor Education and Protection Fund (Awareness and Protection of Investors) Rules, 2001 as Amended, which has come into force with effect from March 31, 2014.

No claim for payment of dividend in this regard shall lie in respect thereof either with the Bank or the IEPF, by the shareholders/investors of the Bank in the equity shares of the Bank.
