DCW rose 1.26% to Rs 24.15 at 9:48 IST on BSE ahead of board meeting today, 18 June 2014, to consider issue of equity shares of the company on preferential basis to promoters and promoter group.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 35.31 points or 0.14% at 25,556.50.
On BSE, so far 2.04 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 16.86 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
The stock hit a high of Rs 24.60 and a low of Rs 24 so far during the day.
DCW's net profit declined 48.2% to Rs 8.99 crore on 34.1% growth in net sales to Rs 355.83 crore in Q4 March 2014 over Q4 March 2013.
