Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation announced that SCM Soilfert (SSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company has acquired on 23 April 2014, 10,01,309 equity shares of face value of Rs 10 each representing 0.84% of share capital of Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilisers (MCFL).Consequent to the said purchase SSL now holds 2,99,92,459 equity shares i.e. 25.31% in MCFL.
Subsequent to the said purchase SSL has issued Public Announcement pursuant to Regulation 15(1) of the SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011 for Open Offer for acquisition of up to 30,813,939 equity shares of MCFL.
