Pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories rose 3.03% to Rs 1,890.40 after the company announced during trading hours today, 4 April 2013, that it has launched Zoledronic acid injection (5 mg/100 ml) in the US market following approval by the US health regulator. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.
The product is a generic version of Reclast (Zoledronic acid) injection in the same strength. The company's injection is available in single use vial for intravenous infusion. According to IMS health, the Reclast brand had total US sales of approximately $335 million for the most recent twelve months ending February 2013.
State-owned trading firm MMTC rose 2.60% to Rs 236.60. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.
State-run coal producer Coal India rose 2.56% to Rs 310.20. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Bajaj Holdings & Investment rose 2.02% to Rs 920. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Canara Bank rose 1.89% to Rs 396.40. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
