Education stocks gain after govt focuses on education and skilling

Five education stocks rose by 0.65% to 5.24% at 11:35 IST on BSE after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Union Budget 2015-16 today, 28 February 2015, announced that the government's big focus is education and skilling of youth.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 196.08 points or 0.67% at 29,416.20.

Among education companies, Everonn Education Systemes (up 4.04%), Educomp Solutions (up 0.65%), MT Educare (up 2.96%), NIIT (up 3.1%), and Career Point (up 5.24%) gained.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Union Budget 2015-16 today, 28 February 2015, announced that the government's big focus is education and skilling of youth. Skill India and Make in India will get further boost, he added. Finance minister said 80,000 secondary schools will be upgraded and divide between rural and urban will be reduced.
