Eicher Motors gained 0.85% to Rs 18,682 at 15:30 IST on BSE after sale volume of VE Commercial Vehicles rose 43.02% to 5,771 units in May 2016 over May 2015.
The announcement was made during trading hours today, 1 June 2016.Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 40.39 points, or 0.15%, to 26,708.35.
On BSE, so far 4,944 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 5,408 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 18,814.90 and a low of Rs 18,437.50 in intraday trade.
Separately, Eicher Motors said that total motorcycle sales rose 37% to 48,604 units in May 2016 over May 2015. Exports of motorcycles jumped 86% to 1,372 units in May 2016 over May 2015.
