Cumulative growth at 5.8% in April-July 2018
The production of eight core infrastructure industries comprising 40.27% of the weight of items included in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) increased 6.6% in July 2017 over July 2017. The cumulative output improved 5.8% in April-July 2018-19.Coal production (weight: 10.33%) increased by 9.7% in July 2018 over July 2017. Its cumulative index increased by 12.3% during April to July 2018-19 over corresponding period of the previous year.
Crude Oil production (weight: 8.98%) declined by 5.4% in July 2018 over July 2017. Its cumulative index declined by 3.2% during April to July 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
The Natural Gas production (weight: 6.88%) declined by 5.2% in July 2018 over July 2017. Its cumulative index declined by 1.1% during April to July 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
Petroleum Refinery production (weight: 28.04%) increased by 12.3% in July 2018 over July 2017. Its cumulative index increased by 8.0% during April to July 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
Fertilizers production (weight: 2.63%) increased by 1.3% in July 2018 over July 2017. Its cumulative index increased by 3.7% during April to July 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
