Essar Shipping standalone net profit rises 135.64% in the March 2018 quarter

Sales decline 7.06% to Rs 163.04 crore

Net profit of Essar Shipping rose 135.64% to Rs 180.57 crore in the quarter ended March 2018 as against Rs 76.63 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2017. Sales declined 7.06% to Rs 163.04 crore in the quarter ended March 2018 as against Rs 175.43 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2017.

For the full year,net profit reported to Rs 46.17 crore in the year ended March 2018 as against net loss of Rs 140.61 crore during the previous year ended March 2017. Sales declined 2.18% to Rs 643.41 crore in the year ended March 2018 as against Rs 657.74 crore during the previous year ended March 2017.
